In the mind-bending set of (mis)adventures that made up the two week Primes tour in fall 2007 through the states and the immediate move thereafter to the United Kingdom, I had in that time lost a computer and a hard drive somewhere on Staten Island, NY. With those sorts of items it’s more about the material and hard work stored on those hard disks than the actual items themselves; at least for me. This video, uploaded by my former A Luna Red bandmate Bill Hansen recently, was one of the documentations that was stored on that disk. Some of this stuff may be stored on compact discs in a load of cargo I have in long-term storage but I’m not entirely sure. Regardless, it’s a bit of a find coming across this, especially since this video was created right before YouTube and MySpace kicked off so it didn’t have the convenience of storage by social networking.
This video was shot by two friends of our synth-player Jean Hébert and then edit by Jean and myself. I remember it being a somewhat packed show. Other bands on the bill were The Organ and A Spectre Is Haunting Europe (in an early incarnation of that band) as I think this show was a showcase for the label Global Symphonic. There is another video from this show but is still mysteriously hidden somewhere. Enjoy…
